Accidents happen. If you’ve been involved in one, we can come and have your vehicle repaired or moved to a safe place. This all happens after we can declare everyone is safe and emergency services have given us the green light to get things moving.
Here’s how to prepare in case you ever find yourself in an accident.
Be prepared for accidents
While we don’t expect you to see accidents coming. We do advise you to be prepared just in case. Here are some things you can do to:
Keep an emergency accident and breakdown kit in your vehicle. This might include a hazard triangle, first aid kit and some practical items such as torches, water, blankets and even a power bank for electrical devices.
Make sure you’re taking regular breaks when taking long journeys to avoid tiredness and drops in concentration.
Keep Romans Automotive number handy, just in case you’re involved in an accident. (Always call emergency services first)
Before anything else
DO NOT DRIVE OFF- It is a criminal offence to drive away from the scene of an accident.
Call Emergency Services before you do anything on 999.
What to tell emergency services
Let them know what just happened and give them your details. This will include your registration details, vehicles details and also the information of the driver if known. If you haven’t exchanged details – let emergency services know. Be sure to keep your licence and insurance details close to you.
